Dr. Lisa M. Weiss, FCOVD

Dr. Lisa M. Weiss, FCOVD, Diplomate, American Board of Optometry

Dr. Lisa M. Weiss graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry and then completed a residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at the SUNY State College of Optometry in New York City. Dr. Weiss enjoys taking care of her patients with all of their eyecare needs including glasses, contact lenses, computer vision syndrome, myopia prevention, vision therapy, eye diseases, and laser co-management. She recommends that all patients beginning at 2 months of age receive routine eye and vision care every year. Dr. Weiss obtained her fellowship in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and is proud to have reached this personal and professional goal in improving her treatment and care of vision therapy patients. She is also glaucoma certified which means better care for our patients. Outside of the office, Dr. Weiss spends time with her husband Justin and daughter Myla, Hobbies include stained glass, tap dancing, snowboarding, and knitting.


Dr. Greg WoodworthDr. Woodworth

Dr. Greg Woodworth began practicing here in 1984. He attended the University of California at Irvine and San Diego State University receiving a B.A. and B.S. in Biological Sciences. he received his doctorate from the Southern Calif. College of Optometry, graduating Cum Laude in 1982. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, and the local San Diego Optometric Society.

Dr. Woodworth has lived in San Diego most of his life and for over 35 years has been devoted to helping his patients to achieve excellent and comfortable vision by the use of eye glasses, multi-focals, contact lenses, or laser vision correction (LASIK) along with comprehensive eye exams.


Dr. Marcelline Ciuffreda, O.D.,F.A.A.O.Dr. Marcelline Ciuffreda, O.D.,F.A.A.O.

Dr. Ciuffreda graduated from The New England College of Optometry in 2004. Upon graduation, she received the distinguished honor of being named class valedictorian and also received the Clinical Excellence Award for her class. Dr. Ciuffreda went on to complete a residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at the SUNY State College of Optometry. This residency has provided her with vast experience in the diagnosis and treatment of visual skills and perceptual dysfunctions, as well as in the rehabilitation and management of patients with traumatic brain injuries. At the conclusion of the program, she was presented with the Dr. Martin H. Birnbaum Memorial Award for excellence in Behavioral Optometry.

Dr. Ciuffreda is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Optometric Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She has published and presented several scientific and clinical papers, and has also lectured at international meetings and local optometric education programs.


Jennifer, Patient Care Coordinator

Jennifer, our Patient Care Coordinator started her experience at Main Street Optometry back in 2009 as an Intern. She is the first person to greet you during your visit and the pleasant voice you hear answering our phones. She assists with answering phone calls, checking in patients and helping the office run smoothly. Jennifer enjoys family time with her 4 year old daughter and husband and spends her spare time doing arts and crafts.


Amy, Optician, Board Certified

Amy has been an optician for over 15 years and has been certified by the American Board of Opticianry since 2003. For a short period of time after she earned her Bachelor’s degree, she worked as a biochemist and, though the work was very interesting, found her way back to the world of optometry. According to Amy, “There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a huge smile on a person’s face when they’re finally able to see clearly.”

In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her dog and her friends and she is a big sports fan! Though she has lived in San Diego since 2008, she still roots for her Oakland Raiders. In fact, she is the Public Relations officer for the South Bay Raiders Booster Club which is only one of two clubs here in San Diego that is officially recognized by the Oakland Raiders.


Dawn, Vision TherapistDawn

Dawn is our vision therapist who enjoys working with children and adults of all ages to develop their visual skills. Patients can learn to be more successful at school, work, as well as socially. We can help our patients who suffer with visual perceptual difficulties, “lazy eye”, or “crossed eyes” without the need for surgery.


Jodi Tomlinson, Optician

Jodi assists the doctors with examination procedures and has expertise using the Optomap, Visual Field and OCT instruments. She assists with contact lens training and ordering as well as keeping our frame inventory fresh and exciting. Her first priority is patient care and service. Jodi has southern charm as she moved from Arkansas to California 26 years ago. She has 2 sons and spends her time volunteering with the Eagle Scouts.
